  • Taylor Larsen

    ACQUISITIONS & LOANS COORDINATOR | WALT DISNEY ARCHIVES

    Taylor Larsen began his career in the museum collections and preservation field while in graduate school in Philadelphia, PA. In early 2024, Taylor joined the Walt Disney Company, working in the Walt Disney Archives (WDA) at the company's corporate headquarters in Burbank, California. Taylor works specifically with the physical collections and is part of the Acquisitions and Loans team, where he coordinates the acquiring of new assets from Disney-made productions, including 20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel, National Geographic, and other entertainment affiliates, as well as the acquiring of materials and assets from the Disney Parks worldwide, Disney Consumer Products and other divisions of the company.

  • Darlene Merrill

    ROCKET SCIENTIST | BLUE ORIGIN

    Darlene Merrill is a rocket scientist at Blue Origin helping with efforts to launch the first New Glenn Rocket. She has a background in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s in Innovation and Venture Development. Her career has spanned roles at Fujifilm, where she worked on PCBs, photochromic windows, and she continues to apply her expertise to cutting-edge aerospace technology. An Intel ISEF and International Baccalaureate alum, she brings a background from her professional and personal life that could not be possible without her faith.  For her, faith is not separate from success—it’s the foundation that informs her decisions, work ethic, and leadership. Darlene helped in the efforts to launch the first New Glenn Rocket. 

  • Shanna Blake Steed

    LEAD TAX PRINCIPAL | THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY

    Shanna Blake Steed was drawn to accountancy as a career when she was in high school as she observed it allowed a friend’s mother to work, but still attend her children’s activities. “I thought accounting was a profession that would provide me flexibility to earn a living and have a family,” she says. She earned a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from BYU Marriott. At Disney, Steed has enjoyed learning and developing her team members. Currently she is the Lead Tax Principal, Tax Operations, managing a global group of about 120 employees who are responsible for global tax provision, forecasting of cash taxes and expense, indirect and income tax compliance for the U.S. and Canada, tax consulting for international assignees and employee benefits, and planning for domestic theme parks. Outside of work, Steed is proud of her children (four daughters, three sons-in-law), her grandchildren (nine), two self-published children’s books, and her recent work with the BYU School of Accountancy professional mentorship program.

  • Dr. Lisa Elieson

    PhD, LPC-S, CST-S | HIDDEN LAKES COUNSELING

    Lisa Elieson majored in Psychology at Texas A&M University, graduated Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Dallas, received her Masters in Counseling Psychology at Texas Women’s University and earned her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  

    Dr Elieson is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor, an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist - Supervisor and is licensed to practice in five states (Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Texas and Utah).  She owns and manages a successful practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with thirteen counselors (Hidden Lakes Counseling and Psychiatry) and has been helping to make a difference in the lives of couples for more than 20 years.  Before starting her own practice, Dr Elieson worked with LDS Family Services for more than a decade.

    Lisa is an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University - Idaho, a Certified Sexologist and a Diplomat with the American Board of Sexology and a Certified Professional Life Coach through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches. She is a frequent guest lecturer at industry conferences, at various universities and training organizations, and you can find her workbook on the Twelve Types of Intimacy, available on Amazon.

    In 2024 Lisa was named one of the “Most Inspirational, Accomplished and Engaging Women in Tarrant County” by Society Life Magazine.  A deserving recognition for someone who has encouraged, inspired and helped so many people to gain better insights and improve their world. 

  • Rick Elieson

    CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER | SIGNATURE AVIATION

    Rick Elieson is the Chief Revenue Officer at Signature Aviation, the largest network of private jet terminals in the world with 227 locations across 27 countries. At Signature, Rick leads teams responsible for Environmental and Sustainability initiatives, Global Network Strategy, Commercial Planning and Analysis, Revenue Management, Guest Experience, Loyalty and the company’s AI initiatives.

    Prior to joining Signature Aviation, Rick spent nearly 30 years at American Airlines, where he served in a variety of roles before retiring from the airline as an Officer in 2021. After serving a mission in Nagoya, Japan, Rick’s career at American began on the Japanese Desk in a customer-facing role in Reservations. He went on to hold 20 different positions of increasing responsibility across American and would lead organizations in Operations, Revenue Management, Marketing and as the President of AA Vacations. With a combined responsibility of more than 12,000 team members, he led the company’s International Operations organization with teams across 60 countries, as well as serving as the President of American Airlines Cargo, a wholly owned subsidiary that moves eCommerce, freight, produce, and life-saving pharmaceuticals around the globe. Rick also led organizations in Pricing Strategy, Pricing Operations, Merchandising, Digital, Loyalty Strategy, Co-Branded Credit Cards, oversaw the company’s 66 global websites, and established American’s first Revenue Integrity group.

  • Spencer Munns

    CO-PRESIDENT | BOGIN, MUNNS & MUNNS

    Spencer Munns graduated from BYU Law School magna cum laude in 2004.  That same year he became a member of the Florida Bar and joined the law firm of Bogin, Munns & Munns.  Mr. Munns is a corporate and commercial real estate transactions attorney, but is also heavily involved in management of the firm as its acting President.  Mr. Munns takes pride in both the work that he does for his clients as well as the accomplishments and growth of Bogin, Munns & Munns.  In recent years, the firm has promoted active engagement with local communities and advocacy for various charitable causes.  In fact, Mr. Munns will tell you some of his proudest professional accomplishments are related to his firm’s involvement and commitment to working with State legislators and local County Commissioners to secure funding for various charitable initiatives and promote local awareness programs.  Not only are these issues near and dear to his heart, the firm’s involvement is consistent with their core values. 

    In his off time Mr. Munns enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, participating in sports, and being outside in nature.  In addition to their kids, he and his wife claim 3 dogs, a pig, and an ever-evolving number of chickens and ducks at their home as family members.

  • President & Sister Belot

    ORLANDO FLORIDA MISSION LEADERS | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

    President and Sister Belot have been serving as the leaders of the Florida Orlando mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since June 2024. They are from Mapleton Utah and have 5 sons and 1 daughter. President Belot served a mission as a young man in Birmingham, Alabama.

    President Belot was born in Haiti and raised in Canada where he spoke Haitian Creole at home, French at school and English at large. Sister Belot was raised in the small town of Mulino, Oregon. They met at BYU and both graduated, she with a degree in French, and President Belot with a degree in psychology. President Belot went on to earn a master’s degree in organizational behavior and a PhD in educational leadership, both from BYU. They were married in the Salt Lake City temple.

    President Belot loves learning, both on a personal and professional level. He is co-founder of a unique, tuition-free public school program tailored to the unique needs of the individual student. He is passionate about helping people access education and training so they can positively improve their lives and the lives of their families and communities.

Community in History: Tech & Family History

MARK WUERGLER

Nicknamed the "Genealogy Hacker", Mark has applied his skills as an ethical hacker, knack for pattern recognition and coding to scripture study and family history research. His projects have made the scriptures come alive, helped prioritize temple work and helped many come to a deeper understanding of their family trees in fun, analytical and visual ways.
